Vision Statement
Our vision is of strong, sovereign Indigenous Nations rooted in Natural Law, led by our own governance systems, speaking our languages, practicing our ceremonies, and thriving on the lands of our ancestors.
We see our youth walking proudly in the footsteps of the Elders, trained in both traditional knowledge and modern skills, ready to defend and sustain our communities.
We see our Council Fires lit once more, our peoples united in wisdom and strength, upholding our responsibilities to the land, the water, the air, and all life.
We see a future where colonial systems no longer dictate our destiny — where Indigenous laws, dignity, and rights are fully recognized and lived.
We walk together toward this vision, guided by the 7 Sacred Teachings, the 4 Directions, and the spirit of our ancestors.
Grassroots Warrior Society Public Statement
Anishinaabe – Dene – Nehiyaw Warrior Societies United
We are the Grassroots Warrior Society — an alliance of Indigenous warriors, matriarchs, knowledge keepers, youth, and families rising to reclaim our ways of life, our governance, and our lands.
We stand under Natural Law and the sacred teachings of our ancestors. We are guided by the Council Fire systems of our Nations — not by colonial governments or the Indian Act. Our sovereignty is not given, it is inherent. Our treaties are not documents of surrender — they are agreements of peace and coexistence, which the Crown has violated time and time again.
For too long, Canada and its corporations have profited from the theft and destruction of our territories. From the Ring of Fire to the Tar Sands, from pipeline corridors to mass clear-cutting, our homelands have been targeted without our free, prior, and informed consent.
The systems imposed on our peoples — Indian Affairs, colonial policing, the corporate state — have led to poverty, cultural suppression, the erosion of our languages, and the targeting of our land defenders. But we say: no more.
We are rising.
We declare that:
🔥 We will reinstate our traditional council fire governance systems.
🔥 We will defend our lands, waters, and sacred sites.
🔥 We will raise and train our youth through rites of passage, land-based learning, and the 7 Sacred Teachings.
🔥 We will support our people through mutual aid, traditional healing, and warrior training.
🔥 We will organize with clarity and discipline to uphold our Natural Law and resist colonial imposition.
🔥 We will assert our right to live free as Indigenous Nations of Turtle Island.
Our silence was their weapon. Our voices are now our shield.
We walk with the ancestors and with the coming generations in mind.
We honour the treaties — not the colonial interpretation of them, but their original spirit and intent.
We will not stand down. We will not be divided.
To the people of our Nations and to all allies: this is a time of great awakening.
Join us — in ceremony, in training, in action.
Land Back. Water Back. Air Back. Law Back. Sovereignty Back.
For our children, and our children’s children.
